We believe that Christian ministry to the believing individual, and their discipleship, is part of Christian education. God’s Word alone must be at the heart of all such ministry. By His Word and power God has given us everything pertaining to life and godliness, including not only salvation from sin in phase one salvation but instruction in righteousness for present sanctification and victorious Christian living in phase two salvation. Medical help for true medical problems is encouraged. However, this does not justify the use of secular psychological theories and techniques for the challenges of life which are essentially spiritual problems. Psychotherapy can only properly be called a pseudoscience. The church must not turn from God's Word to man's bankrupt theories in attempting to resolve mental, emotional, and behavioral problems. We are to look at life from God’s perspective, His view, not from our way, experiences, ideas, opinions, what others say, the world’s philosophy or its psychology. The best counsel anyone can ever give is that from the Word of God! Only a biblical perspective will properly identify non-medical problems and solutions in the life of any individual. The Christian life is Christ living His resurrected life in and through those who have trusted Him. The Bible alone is sufficient for Christian living. Psychotherapeutic techniques are to be rejected and not necessary (and even dangerous) for the Christian to live the abundant Christian life.
